While most of the world has turned to guessing what Kate will wear, Prince William has decided to create a little mystery of his own, reports WWD. According to British reports, William will wear his RAF military uniform made by Savile Row tailors Gieves & Hawkes (which we reported ages ago). But the tailoring house is being equally coy about Prince William’s wedding day attire. In a statement, they simply said, “We have for the past four years had the pleasure of making several garments for the HRH Prince William and family. To the best of our knowledge what the Prince will wear for his wedding is still to be decided.” A spokesperson for Clarence House also said that they “would not be commenting” on what the Prince chooses to wear.
Like plenty of brides, Kate Middleton has upped her gym routine to get ready for the royal wedding, reports RadarOnline.com. The princess-in-waiting has always been an avid athlete, but now she’s working out at the same trendy London gym where Diana used to frequent and has built in cycling, jogging and light weigh use into her daily regime. Kate and William also hope to take one more skiing trip together before the wedding, insiders say. And that counts as a serious workout — a whole day of skiing can burn up to 2,000 calories! She’s also an avid follower of the high-protein Dukan Diet, which is also used by Jennifer Lopez and supermodel Gisele Bundchen. Insiders also say that she’s cutting back on her favorite cocktail: a mix of passion fruit, with vodka and champagne.
And forget Paris — Kate and William may reportedly stay much closer to home for their honeymoon. According to reports, the royal newlyweds may have a “staycation” honeymoon at Scilly Isles, reports the Daily Mail. Not only are they trying to show they’re conscious of the economy, but there are also certain safety concerns, insiders say. William last visited Scilly Isle, which is off the coast of Penzance, with his mother and father in 1989, when he was just seven years old. It had been thought previously that the couple would fly to Kenya (where the Prince proposed) or visit the Caribbean.
Prince Harry might be bringing an old flame to the wedding, reports the Daily Mail. Zimbabwean- born Chelsy Davy, who left London last summer for South Africa, may be headed back to the UK for the wedding and a reconciliation may be in the works, insiders say. Chelsy has dated Prince Harry on and off, and is expected to receive a royal wedding invitation. The blond — and brainy — beauty was offered a job at the law firm Allen & Overy, but put the offer on hold to travel for a bit. Said one insider, “Chelsy’s real love is Harry, who’s desperately missed her while she’s been traveling.”
The Daily Mail also reports that a stag party Prince Harry wanted to plan for his brother at Guy Pelly’s Chelsea nighclub, Public, has been vetoed by the Prince. Sources said William was hoping for a more “low-key” night out. In addition to the night out, the Princes are likely to head off to Scotland or Wales for a weekend to celebrate Prince William’s upcoming wedding.
And finally, Kate Middleton’s parents are wasting no time cashing in on the royal wedding, reports the Daily Mail. Her parents, who own the company Party Pieces, will release a range of products that for people planning to celebrate the wedding. This act — which marks the first time the Middletons will attempt to directly profit from their daughter’s union — may anger Buckingham Palace. The company already sells a number of patriotic items that could be used for parties around the time of the wedding. The company, which is thought to be worth millions of pounds is based in a warehouse near Berkshire, where there are about 13 employees.
